How High's The Water Mama

We have these markers up and down the Ohio River, showing where the water crested in the greatest flood my city has ever seen.
The greatest volume of water ever known to pass along Ohio’s southern shores flooded all Ohio River communities during the last two weeks of January 1937.
The Ohio River crested at 80 feet at Cincinnati on January 26. This was 28 feet over flood stage.
With damage stretching from Pittsburgh to Cairo, Illinois, one million people were left homeless, with 385 dead and property losses reaching $500 million.
January 1937 remains as the wettest month ever recorded in Ohio.

It has been raining here alot.  Noah is a friend, so I got two tickets for Jazzi and me on his boat.
I told Jazzi to get here fast.  I don't see her coming.  I bet she is out shopping for a new pink dress for what she thinks is a cruise.
A long time ago, when the Earth was green
There was more kinds of animals than you've ever seen
They'd run around free while the Earth was being born
And the loveliest of all was the unicorn
Stop staring at me you Rhinoceros.
Green alligators and long-necked geese
Some humpty backed camels and some chimpanzees
Some cats and rats and elephants, but sure as you're born
Don't you forget My unicorns
I see Bella, from Downunder Daisy swimming in.
Toss her a life ring.
Swim girl swim. We got room for you.
I see Goose swimming in,  Noah is a friend of his also.
Old Noah was there to answer the call
He finished up making the ark just as the rain started to fall
He marched the animals two by two
And he called out as they came through
I just don't see no Jazzi.
Here is another flood marker on the back of a church.  See how high the water got in 1937.  Now see me on the bench looking out at the Ohio River.
Where the Ohio River is today.  How High's The Water Mama!

Thanks for being a friend
Traveling down the road and back again
Your heart is true and your a friend of mine

We had a flood a couple of years ago. Looks like you've got a good pozzy if you get a flood again. Before you get on the boat, please dig a little hole, so we get some water. We need it badly. (Not too much, please)

  26. That's so not good. You'd better keep well away from that there water - you know we Scotties are not too great at swimming - perhaps you should walk around with a life jacket on all the time, just in case.
