The Golden Acorn Contest

I, Sweet William The Scot, have a little contest for you!  Yep I have a tree rat and his golden acorn to give to the winner of our contest.  Well it is a faux golden acorn, oh fiddle faddle it is plastic! You didn't think it was real gold did you?  It is an air freshner holder for your car or wherever we dogs make a smell.  You can choose two pods scents to go into the tree rat.  Fresh Balsam, Mahogany Leather or Spring Scentportable are the winners choices.
Not a Name That Song Contest this time!!!
It's a Name That Face Contest.
All over our town are painted murals. Painted in this mural are eighteen characters.  The dog, cat, crab, guinea pig, horse, oh shucky darn whoever can name the most characters wins The Golden Acorn!
In case of a tie, there will be a tie breaker question.  What number am I thinking?
Now for a hint, some of them are generic characters, some are real living people, some are not, and some are just real characters.
Bawheheeeeeeeeeeee.

Comment moderation is on.  So please leave me a comment, I loves comments, then look over the picture really good and give me the answer, two comments.  Comments will be published.  Your answers comment will not appear till next Monday, when the contest ends.
Have Fun.

Sweet William The Scot

Lee and I invited some friends for a grill out picnic yesterday for the Memorial Holiday Weekend.  We had this bouquet of lovely peonies for our center piece on our picnic table.
Bless all the K-9 who serve in protecting our country.

  7. Wow, this is hard! My thinker is sore now. BOL Okay, I can only name a few, maybe:
First one I think is Ethel Merman, then Grover, then Phantom of the Opera, then Elton John. That's all I have for the top row. Bottom row: The Nutcracker, then to the left of the clown might be Mr Rogers from the Neighborhood. Boy, I'm not very good at this at all! But it sure is fun to ponder. This is GREAT!!
    Thanks again,
    Sarge, COP

  25. Woah! I'm really enjoying the template/theme of this site. It's simple, yet effective.
A lot of times it's very difficult to get that "perfect balance" between user friendliness and visual appeal. I must say you have done a very good job with this. Also, the blog loads very quick for me on Opera. Exceptional Blog!

  30. Sweet William we probably don't qualify cause Momz found the answers online but we really enjoyed reading all about The Singing Mural and how it came to be painted. We found the answers here: http://visualingual.wordpress.com/2011/12/21/the-singing-mural-by-c-f-payne-and-jenny-ustick/

    Here's who's painted there:

Top row: Patricia Corbett, Grover, Phantom of the Opera, Sir Elton John, Beverly Sills, Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra tuba player, Cab Calloway, Madame Butterfly, Johann Sebastian Bach

Bottom row: Nutcracker, Leontyne Price as Aida, Maestro Erich Kunzel, Cincinnati police officer, Mr. Rogers, Pagliacci, Ruth Lyons, a child, Mr. Redlegs

    Thanks for the fun!
