Queen City Gateway

I, Sweet William The Scot, am going to tell you about the Gateway.
If you enter my city by way of the East you will see the Gateaway Sculpture.
This Gateway was constructed by the support of  Procter & Gamble.
It is part of how my Nati City welcomes you.  We call it enhancing our "front doors" to our city.

This one is an art deco design and has a water fall feature.
See me off to the right hand side of the fountain.
Our city has a lot of buildings which are considered of the art deco design.
And the sculptures are our way of saying Welcome!
The Gateway sparkles in the right sunlight.

Thanks for being a friend

How much is that Scottie in the window.  He is not a decal.
Yep Lee painted him for a business this week.  That ninety dollars plus our cost of paint and sealer is going to get us some dinners out at Bonefish Grill and I am ordering leftovers.
Lee is going to paint them a poodle next month.  They want four dogs in all but can only afford one painted a month.

  1. I like this welcome sign... it has such clear structures and there is nothing what is too much and nothing what needs more. it's pawfect. like the scottie your lee made for that client... it has all things a scottie needs... and I bet the poodle will be the same pawsome artpiece.

Oh Sweet William - you visited that fountain we saw when I visited you - thank you so much for giving us the detail on it!!! I really loved the structure and am glad to know what it is about. Golly, but your Lee is talented - that Scottie could win medals - or even better, fish suppers!!! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  5. I love art deco designs but the best part of the your city's gateway is YOU Sweet William sitting on the side. With this hot weather I bet that water fall feels good. Love the painting Lee did of the Scottie, her talent after all runs in the family. Hope you enjoy the left overs from the Bonefish Grill.

  6. Why do a poodle when you could have another Scottie? No wonder that they don't have much money-they're not too smart.

  7. Oh Sweet William, look at that Scottie in the window! Lee is so talented. I am wondering if one of their four dogs is going to be a wire-fox terrier? I only ask because we are generally acknowledged to have a particularly fine and distinctive profile.
Oh. Gail is accusing me of being "narcissistic"…
    Toodle pip!
    Bertie.
PS Gail loves the art deco welcome fountain.
