HIGHLAND GAMES on Blogville Radio

I cannot believe that Ernest Schnitzel woke me at 0600 hours. What does the "O" stand for? O that's
Early!
He wants to come down to the station and play his bagpipes.  Someone has to cut down his cell tower.
I AM RUNNING LATE!  I got to get up to the roof and turn on the air waves and fly the Tartan Colors in honor of the Highland Games
Now I have to call the Blogville Police I saw Ernie off in the distance dragging a rocking chair in one paw and a cat in another.
Police Department yes I want to report a dog dragging a cat down Main Street.  Yea Yea you want my name well Dogamonious is my name.  What did the suspect look like.  It looked like Von Schnitzel Ernie.

Finally I Am On The AIR
GOOD MORNING BLOGVILLE!
Hey, this is not a test. This is rock and roll.  And I am your DJ Rockin Wills, The Music Professor, on Blogvilles own Non Serious Radio Station  HOWL 469.5 .
Today is a special day.  Blogville has the honor of hosting the
HIGHLAND GAMES in Celebration of Kyla Scott.
The Famous Stuart will be leading the Parade right past the station.
By plane. By helicopter and also by automobile the contenders are coming.
Your DJ is entered in the Scottish Hammer Throw.  I heard they have the long German Frank Furter listed in that Game.
Well I bet my Hammer is bigger than his Hammer.  How could a Scot not win The Highland Games.
BAM!  TAKE THAT!
Here's a song coming your way right now.
Ernie how did you get IN ~ I locked the Front Door.  You climbed in the back window after you broke it.  YOU BROKE THE HOWL WINDOW!!
I'M ON THE AIR

William's Perfect Storm

PERFECT STORM ~ When three events, usually beyond one's control, converge and create a large inconvenience for an individual.
One of the many Blessings Of The Animals in Cincinnati that took place on the 4th and 5th of October took place here.
Lee has to tell you what I, Sweet William The Scot, did at one of The Blessings!
I think all things conspired for William's perfect storm, so to say.
I had put William on a sit and stay command because another person and I play guitar for some of these services.  The service was at the point where the animals come forward for their individual
blessings.
William was watching everything intently. William sees each dog gets a treat that goes forward.  Father calls for who wants to be first, then second then third.  Someone said let the bunny go next!  No one stepped forward.  Father said "three strikes and you're out".  William hears this expression from me and he knows if on three he does not come well the door might shut and leave him out or I will lock him in the house and leave in the car.
William broke command and I am seeing him dart through the small group to in front of the Father.
Father asked his name and one of the nuns spoke his name.  Then Father reached down and said a blessing with Williams head in his hands.  Then instead of a small Sign of the Cross on his head Father straightened up and gives a big Sign of the Cross.

William knows hand commands.  When Father raised his hand William goes up on his hind legs.  Father comes down with his hand, William lays down.  Now Father is going across with his hand, William is confused. I use a small circle and William does a circle.  William thinks O.K. it must be a circle.  William does two circles.  Now the group is laughing.  William has never liked laughing.  Williams tail goes down.  Then the horrible happens.  Father squirts Holy Water right in Williams face.  When William was a puppy a spray of water in the face was distraction punishment for wrong.

Williams head and tail are now down, he thinks I have lost the treat and he does not know what to do.
The lady handing out the treats reaches in the basket.  William thinks oh boy I am getting a treat, he reaches to get his treat and she drops it on the ground.  Now at home he can pick up what is on the floor.  Out I have trained him to Leave It, so as not to grab from children or pick up something bad.
William wants it so bad, and nobody is giving him the O.K. Finally William gently picks it up and carries it to the place where he was on sit and stay.  He did not eat it right away and when he finally did he ate it very slow.
William tried so hard to do the right thing and things kept going wrong for him.  I felt so sorry for him, for in his mind he failed.
I could not scold him for breaking the Sit and Stay Command.
This was Williams Perfect Storm.

Hill With A View

Here I, Sweet William The Scot, am visiting Ault Park.
This park is the fourth-largest park in Cincinnati at 223.949 acres.
It lies in the Mount Lookout neighborhood on the city's east side.
The hilltop park has an overlook which commands extensive panoramic views of the Little Miami River valley
Cincinnati is made up of seven hills with valleys.
This hill is the next hill over from my hill.
The park sports a soccer field, playground, and an impressive flower garden.
I am walking into the center of the park to show you some panoramic views
At the center of the park is a large Pavilion, built in 1930 in the Italian Renaissance-style
The water cascading  down sounds wonderful.
The Pavilion is used frequently for dances, parties and weddings.
There is a wedding setting up today so I cannot go into the open pavilion.
During the Summer months the park also hosts a Summer concert series and an Annual Dance Night.
I got to climb these steps to the top.
Presidential Candidate Barack Obama spoke to a crowd of approximately 15,000 people from atop the historic Ault Park Pavilion where I am now.
Look at the view from here.
The soccer field is so green and there is a game being played.
This view is looking toward Mt. Auburn another one of the seven hills.
Now here is a view looking over to my hill, Mt. Washington.  See the arrow that is the Mt. Washington Water Tower which I have showed you up close.  I live in the shadow of the water tower.
In the valley sits my free dog park and Lunken Airport.
Every one of the seven hills have a wonderful view.
Would you believe this is only six miles from my home.  The hills make everything look further away.
Well I hope you enjoyed seeing Ault Park and another view of my Nati City.
Now Lee and I are going to eat our lunch.
