View From Rehab & Cards

I, Sweet William The Scot, told you I would show you the view Lee had from her Rehab Window.
Lee is home with me now and doing outpatient rehab.
Oh and some of you asked if Lee was in Rehab for drugs.  NO! So you must have not followed Kyla Scott because she told about my Lee every week. My Lee has VD.  UhOh that does not sound good.  Bawheheeeeeee.  Lee has a violent case of Vestibular neuronitis.  This nerve sends balance and head position information to her brain.  Yep she walks like a drunk now and falls and sometimes sees double.  This can take months or years to compensate for.
Why this view shows you Old Saint George Church where the First Catholic Service in Cincinnati took place 1819.  A fire destroyed its steeples in 2008.
Harriet Beecher Stowe House writer of Uncle Tom's Cabin.
Both on The National Register of Historic Places.
Hugh High School built before 1920s and still holds classes.
The back of University of Cincinnati Medical Center my cities largest hospital.
And many more places I need to take you to up close.
Lee had the best room in Rehab.
Now here are some of the cards Lee got from you dogs that gave her smiles.
Ruby got her card to Lee first all the way from California.
Why Bentley sent me more than one.
Princess Leah was the first from over the pond and she wrote me a lovely note.
Amber & Max always have nice words to say.
Madi sent a cat card.
Sully sent the pink butterfly that is hiding in the photo.  Lee hung it from a string over her bed.
And the note from Kyla was well just extra special.
Edgar wrote Lee a lovely note also.
Whitley and Finley made Lee beautiful cards with Scots on them that everyone loved.
Why Murphy & Stanley sent one.
Bella, Roxy & Macdui sent Lee one that had a human with a cone.  Yep  Lee needs that!
Now Daisy wrote this
Hi there,
Could you let Janet know Daisy and I would be happy to have SWTS vacation with us if that would help? I know pets are the best medicine, but I don't want Lee worrying about her pup while trying to heal. We talked to her about it awhile ago and just wanted her to know our offer is genuine! I would fly out to get him if she'd like.
Thank you!!
Carrie and Daisy

I, Sweet William, did not know if I was going to a new home or not.  I was frightened.
But Lee for sure would let me go to live with Daisy if she could no longer keep me.
I WILL SHOW YOU MORE CARDS NEXT TIME!

Lookie who I have on my paw for the fabulous Dory's Birthday Party.  Yep it is Aussie Scot Bella.  Why she told me she has not had a date since Oskar like years ago.  Yep I loaded up my sleigh with oars and wheels.  Why I had to paddle across like major water then I had to put wheels on because it is summer where Bella lives.  But a guys got to do what a guy has to do to get a date.

Kyla, My Friend, Went To Her Eternal Home

It has been a very sad year for the Scottie Clan in Blogville.
This year we have lost some of our brightest stars.  Yep we have seen go to the Rainbow Bridge the beautiful Daisy from Downunder Daisy.  Then I waved goodbye to my girlfriend of three years Jazzi from Jazzi's World.  Now I have to say a fond farewell to the sweet Kyla from Kyla Scott.  Kyla never wanted me to say Thanks For Being a Friend when I left comments.
Well after awhile Kyla became one of my bestest friends in our fair Blogville.
So today I have called together Dui, Sully, Bentley and myself of the
MacLowland  Band and of which Jazzi and Kyla were original members to perform.
Our MacLowland Band is playing a true Scottish Goodbye to our dearest friend, Kyla.
(Double Click For Full Screen)
My first post appeared on January 18th 2012 and
Kyla's first posted on January 21, 2012.
We both took up residence in Blogville the same week.  Kyla asked me once where I came from and I told her I snuck in the back door.

So Kyla I am saying it now ~ Kyla TY4BAF.

Yep I Took Myself Home

Okie Dokie here is my face if you have forgotten what I look like.
Well it's been a long time but I, Sweet William The Scot, have got my Lee at home with me.
I just knew if I could get free of our friend Janet and get home my Lee would come home.
See it all started when Janet was getting me out of her car.  She had me in her arms and I squirmed liked the devil had my tail and broke free.  Oh did that Janet yell and yell.
I don't know what was wrong with her for I was yelling back thank you for taking care of me and that I had to get home.
Well the arrows start at Janet's condo.  I ran for the back.  Why I'm no dummy I was not taking Beechmont Avenue I-125.  I know to sit down at the curb and wait for traffic to stop before we walk across but by myself I was taking the back way with no streets to cross. And besides that traffic never stops on Beechmont.
I started from where the arrows start and ran behind Janet's association found a hole in the fence and ran in the backyards of the houses on the next street.
Why I even stopped and said hello to my friend Crappy who lives on this street.  Crappy is a good friend he invited me in through his dog door. Crappy and I were caught on Crappy's persons video cam. Crappy and I ate out of his bowl.  What a friend. He wondered where I had been. Crappy got his name when he was a pup and he learned to pee pee outside but he just could not get the hang of doing his poopy outside and kept crapping in his owners shoes.  Crappy would have went with me on my journey but Crappy wears one of those electric collars and when he gets close to his property line why his furs stand up and can't go any further.  Don't tell Crappy but I think that electric collar has caused him to lose a few brain cells.
I went over the lane that takes the kids to their school.  I got behind my property marked in blue.
Well behind my home is this darn steep straight up hill, where everyone tosses their leaves.
I was seen trying to make it up that hill.  Why I kept disappearing into the leaves and then reappearing at the bottom coming out of the leaves, the last time they never saw me come out and thought I was a goner.  So I decided to take the deer trail to the end of my street where there are no fences and only a slight hill.  Yep I was seen running up the sidewalk of my street and trying to get in my gate.  No luck there.  I had dug myself out of those leaves so I had to rest before I dug myself under my fence.
I went up on my front porch to sleep under the mailbox by the front door and there I was found by one of my best buddies the mailman who always has treats in his back pocket for me.  Why he even put me in my fenced in yard and left a note in the box.  Yep I have gossipy neighbors there were three notes in all telling Lee and Janet about my escapade.  Gosh a dog can't get by with a thing.
And darn by the end of the day Janet came around my house to collect me from my back porch were I was patiently waiting for my Lee.  DAM HAD AGAIN.
Lee told me it was my responsibility to decorate for Christmas this year.  So I took the money Lee gave me and I bought this lovely cedar box arrangement and a red funky apple and a pummelo.  Also known as Chinese grapefruit, is considered the ancestor of the white, pink and ruby grapefruit. It's the largest of all citrus fruits, typically weighing 2 to 4 pounds. These ball-size fruits are used in rituals during Chinese New Year and are said to resemble a full moon. When ripe, the pummelo is pale green or yellow. Because of its sweet, mild taste and pleasant aroma, it's often used as a dessert, eaten raw, dipped in chocolate or sprinkled with salt.
Why the apple tree that made this apple with a funny hump on top had no quality control.
Then I decided I needed to make my blog look festive, so I gave it a new look.
Do you like my blog look?

Next time Lee will show you a picture of her Rehab Room view of Cincinnati. Wait till you see the view.  Oh and Lee is going to show you her great cards that she got from all of you and she has got to tell you about Daisy's wonderful offer.

William's Perfect Storm

PERFECT STORM ~ When three events, usually beyond one's control, converge and create a large inconvenience for an individual.
One of the many Blessings Of The Animals in Cincinnati that took place on the 4th and 5th of October took place here.
Lee has to tell you what I, Sweet William The Scot, did at one of The Blessings!
I think all things conspired for William's perfect storm, so to say.
I had put William on a sit and stay command because another person and I play guitar for some of these services.  The service was at the point where the animals come forward for their individual
blessings.
William was watching everything intently. William sees each dog gets a treat that goes forward.  Father calls for who wants to be first, then second then third.  Someone said let the bunny go next!  No one stepped forward.  Father said "three strikes and you're out".  William hears this expression from me and he knows if on three he does not come well the door might shut and leave him out or I will lock him in the house and leave in the car.
William broke command and I am seeing him dart through the small group to in front of the Father.
Father asked his name and one of the nuns spoke his name.  Then Father reached down and said a blessing with Williams head in his hands.  Then instead of a small Sign of the Cross on his head Father straightened up and gives a big Sign of the Cross.

William knows hand commands.  When Father raised his hand William goes up on his hind legs.  Father comes down with his hand, William lays down.  Now Father is going across with his hand, William is confused. I use a small circle and William does a circle.  William thinks O.K. it must be a circle.  William does two circles.  Now the group is laughing.  William has never liked laughing.  Williams tail goes down.  Then the horrible happens.  Father squirts Holy Water right in Williams face.  When William was a puppy a spray of water in the face was distraction punishment for wrong.

Williams head and tail are now down, he thinks I have lost the treat and he does not know what to do.
The lady handing out the treats reaches in the basket.  William thinks oh boy I am getting a treat, he reaches to get his treat and she drops it on the ground.  Now at home he can pick up what is on the floor.  Out I have trained him to Leave It, so as not to grab from children or pick up something bad.
William wants it so bad, and nobody is giving him the O.K. Finally William gently picks it up and carries it to the place where he was on sit and stay.  He did not eat it right away and when he finally did he ate it very slow.
William tried so hard to do the right thing and things kept going wrong for him.  I felt so sorry for him, for in his mind he failed.
I could not scold him for breaking the Sit and Stay Command.
This was Williams Perfect Storm.

Hill With A View

Here I, Sweet William The Scot, am visiting Ault Park.
This park is the fourth-largest park in Cincinnati at 223.949 acres.
It lies in the Mount Lookout neighborhood on the city's east side.
The hilltop park has an overlook which commands extensive panoramic views of the Little Miami River valley
Cincinnati is made up of seven hills with valleys.
This hill is the next hill over from my hill.
The park sports a soccer field, playground, and an impressive flower garden.
I am walking into the center of the park to show you some panoramic views
At the center of the park is a large Pavilion, built in 1930 in the Italian Renaissance-style
The water cascading  down sounds wonderful.
The Pavilion is used frequently for dances, parties and weddings.
There is a wedding setting up today so I cannot go into the open pavilion.
During the Summer months the park also hosts a Summer concert series and an Annual Dance Night.
I got to climb these steps to the top.
Presidential Candidate Barack Obama spoke to a crowd of approximately 15,000 people from atop the historic Ault Park Pavilion where I am now.
Look at the view from here.
The soccer field is so green and there is a game being played.
This view is looking toward Mt. Auburn another one of the seven hills.
Now here is a view looking over to my hill, Mt. Washington.  See the arrow that is the Mt. Washington Water Tower which I have showed you up close.  I live in the shadow of the water tower.
In the valley sits my free dog park and Lunken Airport.
Every one of the seven hills have a wonderful view.
Would you believe this is only six miles from my home.  The hills make everything look further away.
Well I hope you enjoyed seeing Ault Park and another view of my Nati City.
Now Lee and I are going to eat our lunch.

Oktoberfest Zinzinnati

You want to know what I, Sweet William The Scot, got on my nose?
Cream from a giant Cream Puff.  Lee brought it home so we could share.
It is Oktoberfest Zinzinnati USA time.
We have the Running of the Wieners.  That is a Frankie and Ernie Contest.
One of the favorite events at Oktoberfest Zinzinnati is the World's Largest Chicken Dance. This year it was led my Nick and Drew Lachey from the pop group  98 DegreesYep they are Cincinnati born.
 I am ready to celebrate.

There are German Bands.
German Dancers
But my favorite food booth is Servatii.  Because they have these Super Cream Puffs just for  Oktoberfest. Booth 246 this year. Over 20,000 Cream Puffs were sold.
Sadly I had to stay home for this event because it is so crowded I would get stepped on if  Lee was not carrying me the entire time.  Lee says I would be drooling smelling the German food booths.
Lee did not take many pictures because people don't like their photo taken when they drink for some reason and it is so crowded you cannot get a good photo.
