I Got A Christmas Present

I got a package from my dear friends Bentley & Pat and Winslow & Debbie.
Lookie the Scottie wrapping paper.  WooHoo!
There was a lovely card wishing me all the joy of this lovely season.
 Why I got a Scottie reading a book Flag for my home.
Why I am a registered Reader Dog and the Flag depicts the work I do.
Yep I work.
Thanks for such a super great gift.
I got other cards.
Why Nessa sent this card
Two Scotties looking out a window.  Why I like to think that is Nessa and Me together.
Well I got paper cards from Amber & Max, Millie & Walter, Hazel & Greta and Lee's friend Maggie and my friend Harold my mail carrier ~ he calls me Sir William because I have my own post office box.  Then I had E cards from a whole lot of you.
Thank You!

I Voted ~ Did You?

I did not even get combed this morning. Lee put her furs in a messy bun and no makeup.
 Lee and I were out the door to VOTE.  The line was long and the wait time took forever but Lee hung in there.

End of Summer

Welcome to my porch this year.
 My big Begonia pot this year.
The rail box had colorful Lantana, two shades of Angelonia and  Ornamental Potato Vine.

 Just one of our many flower beds.
 Seems this was a season for multiple ears of corn on the same shank.
It's called the MESS Syndrome!
Some genetic backgrounds are more prone to this type of multiple ear development and that certain growing conditions encourage the MESS Syndrome with these hybrids.
2006 was the first rash of the odd ears reported in Indiana and Illinois.
I like the side corn ears because Lee lets me eat them.
They are the right size for me.

 What have you noticed odd/MESS happening with our goofy weather?

Oh I Wish

Look at the plates on this vehicle!

It's so hot you could cook a dog on the pavement here.

Why it's the Wienermobile!  I, Sweet William The Scot, smell hot dogs on the grill cooking.
I'm going inside.

Oh I wish I were an Oscar Mayer Weiner
That is what I would truly like to be
Cause if I were an Oscar Mayer Weiner
Everyone would be in love with me
Oh Everyone would be in love
Everyone in Blogville would be in love with me.

Would you believe they would not give me a hot dog!  Lee got one but not me.  What is wrong with Oscar Mayer that they won't give a dog a free hot dog.  I stood in line like the rest of the people. I was a good boy why everyone petted me and shook my paw.

Well Lee learned sharing she gave me half of her hot dog.

Happy Sunflower Birthday Downunder Daisy

This one is for Tobi, HER, from Downunder Daisy.
Lee and HER share the same birthday Sunday.
So today we took the expressway and drove to the Sunflower Fields this morning.
Some place we have never showed you.
It is suppose to rain today like yesterday and we got here just before the rain.
The field behind me is not in bloom yet!
But the next field is in full bloom.

Happy little Bee.

Sunflowers make Lee smile.

Everyone have a wonderful Sunflower Day.

Nati In A Flood

Then

 Now

 Then

Now

Yep the Ohio River reached 60 feet this morning.  The highest point since 1997.
Roads are closed all over Nati City and they just closed my ramp off the Interstate so Lee has to drive past our community to the next ramp and backtrack home.

You can watch for yourself here

Paree

Can you believe HOWL the Non Serious Radio Station that is 469.5 on the dial has dug deep into it's moth dusty pockets and coughed up the money to get me their DJ to Paris, France for the
Blogville "Valentines Day In Paris".
Bella and I are staying at the Palace of Versailles
Why look at our view of the Eiffel Tower just thirteen miles from our rooms.

Bonjour Coucou  it is Monsieur DJ Rockin Wills The Music Professor here in grand old Paree Yep "Gay Paree" where one must speak the language of  LOVE!

I'm doing a live remote from in front of the Louve so all you Monsieurs and Mademoiselle pupsters and kittenistas come on over

French is the language of LOVE so remember to create a French accent we must

 Roll your RRRRRRs and The French pronounce the TH-sound in "there" as a Z or even sometimes DZ: "Dzere are no more bananas" and the stress is almost always on the LAST syllable now stutter/hesitate Keep the H silent and Make the I's sound like EE's
I Rockin Wills will have you speaking like zee French and getting LOVE faster than light travels.

Talking about lights

Paree is also called "Zee City of Lights".
Paris is called zee "City of Light" because it was a place of enlightenment in zee 18th century and it was one of zee first cities to start using street lights during the Great Exhibition of 1889.

Do you pupsters and kittenistas know why zee
French People eat snails? Because they don't like fast food!
Oh I hear you HOWLING now!

Well I guess I should start thinking about spinning some vinyl.  I'm here in front of the Louve Museum.  After I'm done working I'm going to get me a look at that Rosetta Stone
the key that unlocked the secrets of a civilization.
Maybe it holds more secrets like the lottery numbers!

Well this is an old slow one so get close to your lover and sway to the music and whisper in her ear Je t'aime and give that sweetie a kiss.

Oh pupsters and kittenistas did you hear about zee Frenchman who jumped into the river in Paris?
 He was declared to be in Seine.  Oh you are HOWLING now!

Paris is the "City of Love" for a number of reasons, including its sights, its language and its popularity as a honeymoon destination.  Honeymoon Oh No!  Romance blossoms here Oh Yes!

You know pupsters and kittenistas your DJ is beginning to think it was not the Garden of Eden where man got into trouble but it was the City of Old Paree!

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY
all you  Monsieurs and Mademoiselle pupsters and kittenistas.

Bonsoir Bonne nuit Au revoir
Je t'aime Paree

Bella and your DJ are going on a tour of Paris.
I think we are going to dine on  "des cuisses de grenouille."
Skanky frog legs.
And I have to mail a postcard to Lee!

 Faster

Wills we just went past Notre Dame Cathedral

Fasterrrr

Wills we passed the Louvre Museum

Wills that was the Centre Pompidou.

Wills the Champs-Elysees is coming up!

Well that was a world wind tour of the city till we got to Champs-Elysees a famous street in the city that offers cafes, luxury shops and other attractions!
Why there is Phenny and his Mom shopping!

~~~Frenchmen~~~
Picture taken down now.
The one in the turtleneck left top, the one with the scarf and the end man on the right were Lee's Great Uncles and Great Great Grandfather.  And her Great Grandfather is bottom right.  Yep they were Frenchmen.  Are they not the most handsome men.  Picture around 1859.
Lee's Grandfather looked exactly like his father.
Gift From The Burd
Yep, Lee and I, Sweet William The Scot, got a letter.
It is surprising it found our P.O. Box.
It was addressed to Lee and William with the address of the post office where my box is.  There are hundreds of P.O. Boxes at that address and without my full name why it is a miracle I got the envelope.
I said to Lee probably just junk mail but Lee opened and surprise surprise.
Why the burd, Kismet, had given a donation in my name to Rescue Me.
Now another dog has some hope.  Isn't that the nicest thing to do.
Thank You Kismet!
I tell our Spikey about Kismet all the time.  Here Spikey was Christmas Day.  The feeder sits on our kitchen window and when Lee is in the kitchen by the sink Spikey sits in there and watches her.  Our back door is by the window, so when I go out he darts down to greet me.  Lee says sometimes I act happy to see him other times I act like I am annoyed "like bird get a life".
On the night it got to -18 Lee put a Grab an Go heater packet in the bottom and left the kitchen light on.  In the morning Spikey and three other little birds were all huddled in the feeder keeping warm.
Spikey still follows me in the house some but usually wants back out sooner.
These were my Christmas cards, why I even got a card from the post office.  They call me "William The Dude". We thank everyone who sent us a card, our name was not on the list this year.
Well we promise this is our last Christmas post.  Lee finished putting away our decorations.
Christmas Present From Nessa
See the brown envelope ~ well I, Sweet William The Scot, opened the envelope without asking.
It was a Christmas present for Lee with a me dog on it.
I get so excited opening presents.
Nessa Noodle Dog our dear friend from what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas sent Lee this dish towel with a Sniff Sniff Woof Woof Bark Bark Scottie dog print. And see the cute Scottie Dog on her card why I thought she downsized herself because I could sure smell her on the card.
Lee says she will hang the towel on our oven door never to be used because it is so special.
Nessa does not have her own blog but she sure has become a good friend by e-mail.
She sends me pictures of flowers, her walk trail going to the mountains and pictures of her forever digging for those elusive gophers.
Nessa if you ever want to show pictures of yourself you can always borrow my blog.
I love you a whole lot and I thank you for Lee's terrific Christmas present.
Nothing could be better than something with a Scottie print.
Here is Nessa sleeping on her Mom's socks.
Next time we will tell you about the last present we got from a blogger.
