Gift From The Burd

Yep, Lee and I, Sweet William The Scot, got a letter.
It is surprising it found our P.O. Box.
It was addressed to Lee and William with the address of the post office where my box is.  There are hundreds of P.O. Boxes at that address and without my full name why it is a miracle I got the envelope.
I said to Lee probably just junk mail but Lee opened and surprise surprise.
Why the burd, Kismet, had given a donation in my name to Rescue Me.
Now another dog has some hope.  Isn't that the nicest thing to do.
Thank You Kismet!
I tell our Spikey about Kismet all the time.  Here Spikey was Christmas Day.  The feeder sits on our kitchen window and when Lee is in the kitchen by the sink Spikey sits in there and watches her.  Our back door is by the window, so when I go out he darts down to greet me.  Lee says sometimes I act happy to see him other times I act like I am annoyed "like bird get a life".
On the night it got to -18 Lee put a Grab an Go heater packet in the bottom and left the kitchen light on.  In the morning Spikey and three other little birds were all huddled in the feeder keeping warm.
Spikey still follows me in the house some but usually wants back out sooner.
These were my Christmas cards, why I even got a card from the post office.  They call me "William The Dude". We thank everyone who sent us a card, our name was not on the list this year.
Well we promise this is our last Christmas post.  Lee finished putting away our decorations.

Christmas Present From Nessa

See the brown envelope ~ well I, Sweet William The Scot, opened the envelope without asking.
It was a Christmas present for Lee with a me dog on it.
I get so excited opening presents.

Nessa Noodle Dog our dear friend from what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas sent Lee this dish towel with a Sniff Sniff Woof Woof Bark Bark Scottie dog print. And see the cute Scottie Dog on her card why I thought she downsized herself because I could sure smell her on the card.
Lee says she will hang the towel on our oven door never to be used because it is so special.
Nessa does not have her own blog but she sure has become a good friend by e-mail.
She sends me pictures of flowers, her walk trail going to the mountains and pictures of her forever digging for those elusive gophers.
Nessa if you ever want to show pictures of yourself you can always borrow my blog.
I love you a whole lot and I thank you for Lee's terrific Christmas present.
Nothing could be better than something with a Scottie print.
Here is Nessa sleeping on her Mom's socks.

Next time we will tell you about the last present we got from a blogger.

Presents From South Africa

On the first day of Christmas my true friends, Samuel and Wallace sent me a box.
Yep I, Sweet William The Scot, got a box!
Okie Dokie Lee said I could work at opening and lookie when I got it open it was wedged full.
Now I have to start opening the wrapped presents!

I got a postage tag stuck to my face!
I open my own presents.
WooHoo I got a stuffie!

The gifts that represent their country mean the most to us.  The Ndebele Fertility Doll well I doubt if she can help here since Lee and I both have had our ectomies but we think she is so sweet.  Lee over the years has collected pin cushions and we think with her soft head she will sit with the pin cushion collection.
A towel set with pot holders which have Nguni Cattle native to South Africa well we will have a hard time using them but they will come out for special occasions.
Zulu bead pin.  Each color represents something.  When Lee wears that I know many
people will ask her and she can pass on the story that it came from the Soul of Africa.
When I or Lee wear the sunflower bandanas people ask us about them.
And goodies galore.
The one box sure held a lot of presents.
We decorated our fireplace mantel only this year.  Simple but festive.
For Christmas we served cranberry walnut stuffed pork chops, apple cranberries in a sweet sauce, steamed green beans with a fresh mushroom sauce, mashed potatoes and home made rolls.
Lee baked a white cake and decorated it with blue poinsettia cream frosting.
We sure do miss Samuel and Wallace there are just so many who don't post anymore.

We got a very short Christmas greeting from Puddles another one we have lost.
