Mariemont Concourse

Well the calendar says Spring is here but I,
Sweet William The Scot, don't believe the calendar.
So I told Lee lets look at some of the pictures from last summer and put them up today.
These pictures were taken last August.
I showed you my Graeter's Ice Cream Parlor in Mariemont in 2012.
Well sometimes in the summer we pack a lunch and go over to a bluff in Mariemont that overlooks the Little Miami River just before it joins the Ohio River.
The road along this bluff is called Miami Bluff.
Towards the eastern end of the bluff is located what is known as the Mariemont Concourse.
It is a park that contains a stone trellis overlooking the Little Miami River and the view beyond with built-in benches where one can sit.
There is also a beautiful landscaped garden.
The hill in the distance is the one I live on.
A storm was moving in so the view was not great.
Okie Dokie if we walk a couple of blocks to the right I know we are going for Ice Cream and if we go a couple of blocks to the left we are going to here a Carillon Concert.
The carillonneur performs on a keyboard connected to 49 bells inside the Bell Tower.
I will show you that at another time.
I always hope we will walk to the right.

                      Thanks for being a friend
Traveling down the road and back again
Your heart is true and your a friend of mine.

    1. Oh Bentley you have missed a lot of my city that I have posted about. Like Kyla wrote in my profile "By day, I work as a tour guide for the world, showing the visitors greater Cincinnati, Ohio." Those are the post I like the best. Have a great week Bentley and Gailen.

  26. I was totally having a sad walk down memory lane as I was mowing my lawn. I took a break and I just read your comment about Half Pence. A year ago today I knew my Piper wouldn't recover from what seemed to be a stroke. She crossed the bridge on April 2, as well. What a sad anniversary we share :-(
