Do You Ever Think About Taking A Side

If the Pilgrims had not broken away from England how would the world look?
If the American Revolution had not taken place would we be under a monarchy?
If the North and South had not divided where would America be?
How would Europe look had World War I not taken place?
Or if World War II had not happened and England stood alone would all of Europe have become a dictatorship?
Censorship now there is a debate.
Yes we all have our blogs.  On your blog do you allow freedom of speech?
I am on the other side of the Susie and Sidebite issue. As a blogger I don't like to be threaten and they said "if he ever finds out who left a negative comment" (well what does that imply?) and
"OH and comments are turned off, cause we just don't care what you have to say now, and we are saving you the effort to unfriend us! Oh wait, many of our followers didn't come by anyways!. "
Think about that all 153 members ... you didn't come by!
They actually listed who they liked I believe nine names, were you listed??
Sweet William The Scot left them their first comment on Saturday.
But we got very negative feedback along with other bloggers in e-mails.
We had not left them enough comments even though since Lee was in the hospital we have only gotten three comments from them.
So I took a stand dropped out of their blog and after several more negative e-mails blocked them from my blog and yahoo account.
Yep Lee is now aka YOU SHIT!
Guess I had better get my poop scooper out to use on Lee.
I have never blocked a comment on my blog nor have I deleted comments I did not particularly like other than advertisements.
I was Susie and Sidebites second follower and did a major part of their photoshopping prior to Lee almost dying last fall.  I called them my bestest friend and now that is a common term around Blogville just like 87.
Please when you read a post is that blog really saying something positive and maybe start questioning before leaving a comment.
We were simply not going to say a word and go on till Oreo Cookie Jar ran a one
sided post and deleted our comments.
And for those of you who read my comment which was up for about one hour, well loved your e-mails.  The dummy spit phase made us smile again.  Several said they had to rethink their comments that they left Oreo.   One said I am one of those "who never comments" at their blog.
One said maybe he is right to leave Blogville.
Yes we got wonderful e-mail.
If you talk behind someone's back it is bound to come out.
Respectful yes we should be Respectful of one another.
Respectfully
Sweet William The Scot & Lee
Psss ~ Yes comments are on this is an open dialogue.

  1. It just all makes us very sad and confused. Mum's strategy, when she can manage, is always to rise above and not get involved in what she does not know about first hand. That being the case we consider you, Sweet William, and Susie and Sidebite furiends of ours and we hope that everyone can get back to the point of Blogville sooner rather than later.

    2. We thought u did a great job with the marathon post. We liked the marathon video u did with the music in the background. We know from doing the bowling event how much time and effort it takes to make a video. We didnt even add background music to our bowling videos. We are glad u took that extra step to add music to the marathon video, it was pawsome.

  3. Mom has about 2.5 realville friends and in blogville we have a lot...we have always loved you Sweet William and worried when your life was hard when Lee was sick. We are like Edgar and really don't know what happened, but we do know friendships run deep here, even with bumps in the water, it is worth being here. Each of us come here for a reason, looking for something we cannot find in realville and it always amazes me how much we are given back, it is a fantastic place to be. Hugs Stella Rose

    1. Well I felt the same way and from our discussion at the Loveland Castle you know I had held Susie & Sidebite in high regards. Unfortunately there are some of us who take their hits and I was no longer going to be one of them. In a prior post they stated he looked up an IP address and went and knock on a Bloggers door to tell them off about a nasty comment. That is just not right.

I wanted this to go away quietly when I left as one of their followers. But for the third time I got personal e-mail from them on my yahoo which were very hurtful after all the photoshopping I have done for them. Apparently my opinion has no merit when I voiced it at Oreo's blog.
This post would have never appeared if I had not been Censor along with three other bloggers.
I don't think any blogger would like being called "You Shit" in e-mails. I never once got a Thank You for all the photoshopping I did for them ~ just a request to make them over a 60 member band all dressed in kilts with instruments in three weeks for Madi's inauguration marching in a video. I remember when you started blogging and I think someone did something hurtful to you. I was sad for you. Blogville should not be that kind of place. This is a place for friendship and support. We can be ourselves and let our furs down and not worry what someone else thinks about it. I don't understand this at all. I don't always comment on everyones page because I don't always get on my puter every day, but I do look at posts. I don't think commenting is always the most important thing. Knowing our pals are out there happy and making us smile should be enough. Comments are a nice way of keeping in touch, but sometimes you just can't and that should be fine. I love you Sweet William and well thats all, I just love you.

    1. Oh Charlie, it is not I who am complaining about getting comments. We blog for friendship and it is a good loving caring place, why Lee got so many cards e-cards e-mails and why Kyla kept everyone informed about me Lee. It was a scary time for me. Even a blogger stepped up and offered to come here an take me to there home in California, Daisy did that.
When we looked over all our e-mails when we got home Susie and Sidebite were postal on us because they could not have the caber toss in the Highland Games. We had nothing to do with what position any blogger took.
Then in the Mayorz Marathon the same thing happened. An e-mail came complaining I had not left them comments And the fact was they have been getting as many comments as all of our friends. Why we never hear from them at all except for tirades. So I quietly unfriend them. Then they went postal.

  25. Well, Sir William, you know it is hard to read and comment on every blog every day. I sure try but lately, as you know, we have been a bit slack on our comments. When we get really behind on reading/commenting, we sort of panic and then do not know where to begin! BOL And other times, we read a post but don't feel we have anything that would add to the conversation, so we just don't say anything at all.

However, it really isn't about how often you read a blog or how many comments you leave, it is about the friendships that are built over the interwebs. And...when times are tough for a friend, that you are there for them in whatever capacity you can be.

I am sorry that there are hurt feelings and frustrations within Blogville but hopefully, time will heal them. And remember, I am your friend, Sir Wills...even when I fall off the rock pile for a while.

  32. Oh Sweet William i am sorry you had some nasty stuff happen...i am a blogger who does so for fun and to share my wildlife pics and of course friendship..i am not really a huge part of the blogbville thing...the anipals here do what they can but i am so busy and time on a lot of land is limited...i can stress when i do not get around to blogs to comment..i always try and say nice things always or fun things..life is too short for nasty and serious...i have many blogs i follow who never comment and maybe occasionally like my posts..but i blog for me..and i know how busy people are..to take things to a personal level of nasty in emails is not acceptable..the only emails i send are asking how a pal is or sending a card or a cheer up note...just know that when that Scottish lilt plays when i visit your blog i smile and smile again...and that i think your blogs are super put together and you did a great job with the marathon...always happy to be here visiting and always count us as a friend :) get better sweetie loves Fozziemum xxx

    1. We enjoy seeing your country side through your eyes. We have thought of the kangaroo with the ear and thin with ribs showing. I have wondered if you have seen him again.
Like you blogs are enjoyment they are a way to keep in touch with friends we will never meet but yet we hold them in our hearts.
Thank you sincerely for the nice comment
