CONTEST ~ A PUG WITH A PLAN

Lookie here what Lee brought home for me to read.
I'm a reader dog and you know I love to read.
A Pug With A Plan

Lee belongs to a bookclub that is lead by Queen Janeen Coyle.  Why she is the Morning Radio Queen here in Cincinnati.  Janeen is on 103.5 WGRR every weekday morning.  Why she host Frank's Friends on Wednesday mornings  to introduce an animal that’s available for adoption that day at noon.  The segment also features the latest news from SPCA Cincinnati and helpful tips for pet owners.  Janeen's featured pets have a 100% adoption rate.
Janeen does a lot of good work for our community and beyond.
See even when Flat George was in town she took him to eat at Montgomery Inn.
Well when Janeen started the bookclub she decided she would write a book.
This is her first book A Pug With A Plan.
It is a short story about Frank and how he helped the whole family find Tank.
We have all had beloved pets go to the Rainbow Bridge.
It is a true little story of her familys love and loss of their dear pet. The story of Tank and Frank enables children to learn about the circle of life.
Well I, Sweet William The Scot, think this is a great story to read to your children, or sit and listen to them read the story.
The book is available on

A great Christmas Stocking Stuffer!

But I got two books to give away!
You must leave a comment telling Janeen why you want to read her book.
Janeen will read your comments and pick one winner.
Janeen will autograph it especially for the winner, how you want it to read so it can be personalized to a grandchild or you or your dog.
Lee has the second book, which is my book, but I will do a drawing for my book.
We in our home believe books are for sharing, so even though it is autographed to me, I will give it to whoevers name I draw.

Now here is a word from the Author herself  being interviewed on the news ~ with pictures of her and her family and Frank and Tank.

To turn off my music so you can hear the video go down to the bottom and hit the round circle on my music player.  If you want my music back you're going to have to hit the circle again!

Thanks for being a friend
Traveling down the road and back again

  2. Hi Sweet William!
Mama Mindy here. Okay...so you know me and the pugs have been waiting patiently for this contest that was hinted about on the Blogville Community Calendar. Let's see...why I would love this book in my collection of books? First, I am becoming an elementary school teacher...and I LOVE to read. Next, I have FIVE pugs...George (8 years), Gracie (8 years), Toby (7 years), Lily (4 years), and Mimi (3 years). George, Gracie, Toby, and Lily are fawn and Mimi is black. Finally, I love children's books and I definitely try to pick up every pug-themed book I can.
I hope me and the puggies win. (crossing paws and fingers)
    Much Luvums,
Mama Mindy & The Slimmer Puggums

  3. That sounds like a great book. We will go and check it out on Amazon as we over the pond and books are expensive to send. Lovely to you SW. Have a marvellous Monday.
    Best wishes Molly

  4. Totally brilliant initiative SW. I wanted to comment so I might have the chance for the book, my reason being that Gail is always reading these serious and sciency books that rarely feature dogs and so I though it would be good to redress the balance with some canine focussed reading material in this household, but Gail is saying I've missed the point entirely and that I'm supposed to talk about how she would read the books to her nephew and niece but they are 21 and 18 respectively and so problably not suitable target material and anyway, as Molly the Wally says, it is too expensive to mail books to the UK so they had better to go to more deserving recipients on your side of the Pond..

  6. Hi Sweet William,
We rushed to your bloggy this morning cos we knew this day was coming about the puggy book!! We would really like to win the book also, maybe cos we are also three pugs in a household, maybe cos we have two pugs at the rainbow bridge and understand about loss and renewal, maybe cos my mom enjoys writing and wishes she could write about how we have changed her life for the better, --most days....or cause we have grandmonsters that love us puggies and would love to read about a pug. There is hundreds of reasons so its hard to pick....we will also check it out on amazondotcom cos our mom couldn't even watch the interview cos her eyes were all wet...its that kind of monday at our house.

Hello, Sir William! We love to read at this house too, just like you and your Lee. But we do not have any children to read it too. *sad sigh* It does sound like a lovely story though and what wonderful things Janeen does for your community (and the doggies that need forever homes). *high paw* to Janeen for all her hard work!!

  18. I want Mom to read this book to me. When her dog Smoki crossed the bridge, Mom came looking for me. She knew I was somewhere - waiting for her to take me home and love me. When she found me, I was "too little" and "too old" but Smoki told her in her heart that I was "perfect". Now Smoki lives in my belly, and Mom loves us both!!

    Love and licks,
    Cupcake
