My HOOD

This home always has lovely wreaths on their gate.
We have started walking again.  So I, Sweet William The Scot, thought you might like to see some of the sights in my neighborhood.

These bottle sculptures were sold by a dealer at a big arts show we have in Cincinnati every Spring.  It is Summerfair!  Lee volunteers and has entered the Poster Contest.  Lee has had her posters in the top five but never a winner.

Mr. Hippity Hoppity, we have a lot of bunnies in the hood.

I have an Oprah Winfrey home in my hood.

This home always has the most pretty old fashion flowers, the phlox and black eyed susans.
Butterflies sure do love the phlox.
I love to walk this street it is a very quiet street.

Lee loves to see artistic pieces entered into the landscape.  We have a green chair sitting in our fern bed with white petunias sitting in a pot on the chair.

A lot of people have added benches to their landscapes, which we enjoy a lot lately.  We rest on our walks now.  Can you see the other dog in the picture?  He never barks at me, he is a good dog!
We could hear thunder and it started to drizzle.  We got a little damp, but look at the beautiful double rainbow we saw.

Happy Labor Day 2013 !

  2. I'm disappointed. The only possible friend on the walk (no, I don't count the bunny) won't bark at you.

  3. Oh so happy you are back out getting to enjoy your walks, love it when you show us your town, and especially your hood, Mom got a kick out of the chair with flowers (she is a flower nut, but not very good at keeping them alive). You be looking pretty good yourself, looks like that stuff your taking is doing the job. Lee, hope you doing OK also!!!

Thanks for the calendar comment, Dad says he may not do that again, to political having to get votes.

Some gentle exercise, pausing every now and then to stop and rest and feast your eyes on all those beautiful flowers and art objects sounds like just the perfect thing for you and Lee. 24. We really loved the tour of your neighborhood Sweet William!! The bottle sculpture is a big hit!! Mama's brother might be moving to Cincinnati!! We aren't sure yet though...he is trying to decide between Columbus and Cincinnati. He graduated from Ohio State so is quite familiar with the state...not to mention the fact that we all grew up there! Glad you are out and enjoying your walks again! xo Chloe and LadyBug
