Yard Work Is Never Done

I, Sweet William The Scot, have work to do in my flower beds.
Several weeks ago Angel Pip mentioned they had picked up Adirondack Chairs out of someones garbage.  I said we had stopped to pick up a really big Hosta that was tossed out as garbage.
Well we divided it and look how beautiful it is.
Yep "One man's trash is another man's treasure".
This corner of our yard has Bluebells, Lily of the Valley, Daylilies, Pink Petunias and White Impatiens with Ivy surrounded by scalloped stone border then pebbled concrete pavers that has acquired a moss that we love with grass in between.
After all my work from cleaning out this flower bed since it did not get done last fall with Lee in the hospital, well look this darn mole was pushing up my flowers.  No Sir Ree Bob Mole you were not going to destroy all my hard work.
I don't like these things in my mouth but if Lee can put her finger up my bum an express my anal gland to help me since the accident, I can help her by catching this mole in my mouth.
Then I planted the basket by the porch steps.
My friend got the flowers for us this year free.  A nursery had tossed them by their big bin as trash because their containers were broken in transport and they could not sell the hanging baskets.
The big trash bin is shared by the company where she works with the nursery.
All our rail boxes are planted different this year.
We used the hanging baskets that we got at Christmas with greens in them.  We turned them into double hanging baskets.  An idea that we use that works is we stick those Easter eggs in our hanging baskets and it keeps birds from nesting in them.
Well I got to move on to the next flower bed to clean.

Thanks for being a  friend

  4. Yap! Pawsome garden! Mommy has trashpicked too! Last year the neighbor's easter tulips had finished blooming -- so they tossed the potted tulip plant in the trash. Mommy trashpicked the tulips out of the trash can and were happy to see it blooming in our garden this year.

  7. Sir William, let me get this straight...people threw away beautiful plants because the pot was cracked?!? That is preposterous! Just look how lovely and beautiful they are planted in your yard and garden. You and your Lee really have some green thumbs...that is, if Scotties had thumbs. BOL Happy Monday, my pal.

  16. You have gorgeous flowers, Lee must have a green thumb. We only have native plants that are drought resistant. Never heard of putting Eggs in a basket....never thought about birds nesting there.

We don't have moles, but SHE says we always pick up disgusting things, so we wouldn't mind one in the mouth.

  28. What a beautiful yard Sweet William! Mom is green with jelly! She has been working in our kingdom, but all of the rain put her waaay behind. We are so so glad to hear you are doing better. We have had our paws crossed for you! Riley is doing better. Growing some fur on his legs. We think the new diet and fish oil really helps! Enjoy your lovely flowers!
