Pedaling Along

Oh No!  We have not done this in a long time, well since Lee has spells of vertigo so bad.
We are going to take a Red Bike troll around downtown Nati.
It's a little cooler now.
Yep this Red Bike Stand has a basket I can fit into!
Your Red Bike account portal allows you to see how far you’ve pedaled, how many calories you’ve burned, and more!  You can buy 60 minutes or 24-Hour Pass or Annual Pass for $80 unlimited use and the bikes are kept in great shape.  They are at fifty six locations around the inner city.
We had to walk a couple of blocks to find one that had the big basket.
We pedaled by the Aronoff Center for The Arts.
Situated in Cincinnati’s urban core, the Aronoff Center is located in a district that offers more than 400 ways to shop, dine, play, and stay – all within walking distance.
The urban core is why I am on a Red Bike.
The Red Bike has a lock so if you want to stop for lunch or shop no one can take your Red Bike.
Oh my, chandelier lighting overhead that looks lovely at night.
I got out of the basket because I needed to take a tink on the curb.
When I am in the urban core I was taught to tink on the curb by a grate so it goes into the sewer system.
There is BRU Burger Bar Restaurant.  I wonder if Lee will get us something to eat there.
They are kind of a burger bar.  The building colors look so bright at night light up.
Oh I think we might be headed for Nicholson's.
I can sniff out all the resturants.
I love Nicholson's leftovers.  Lee always orders me leftovers.
But wait Lee told them this time she wanted take out!
Yep we waited for it to be prepared.  Waiting is hard work.
The planters around Nicholson's are so pretty.
A guy after my own heart.
Lee ordered us Fish & Chips
Hand-Breaded Haddock on a Brioche Bun, Slaw, Tartar Sauce, Fries, House-Made Catsup
and we sat outside and ate.
What a great time I have with Lee.

Next week I will show you more of my Red Bike troll.
I will show you my Nati City Robot!

Thanks for being a friend
Traveling down the road and back again

  7. Sweet William, you actually sat still in the bicycle basket and let Lee pedal you along? WHAT WERE YOU THINKING??!! Gail once tried to pull that stunt on me and let me assure you I bounced right out of that front basket before you could say 'Tour de France'.
Really, I am most disappointed that you cooperated in such an unwise undertaking. I mean, there I am, spending half my life trying to keep Gail away from her bicycle, and then you go and put up a post encouraging the notion that dogs and bikes can go together quite happily. Humph.
    Toodle pip!
    Bertie.
PS Gail says she enjoyed the photos and is looking forward to reading more about your Red Bike ride. Me, not so much.

  9. Red Bikes look like a great idea. Maybe that's why we have some of those bike stations here in Battle Creek, too.
Now we need to get into the habit of some of the other kinds.

    Loved seeing the Scotsman:)

Glad you had a good time. The lunch you had made all of us drool here. Mmmm!

  10. You have so many interesting sites around your city. I have never been on a bike. We do not have bike rentals in my neck of the woods. You seem to be having lots of fun on your bike ride. Your city is just beautiful and exciting.
