Naughty or Nice

Were you Naughty or Nice?
Did you do the Snowflake Shake?
Did you Wack a Penguin?
Because you sure did something to drive old Kris Kringle to drink!
Yes all you dogs out there Kris Kringle does not want those cookies and milk ~ he wants the booze.
You had better watch out because when Kris Kringle gets upset we get a whole lot of albino brain jiggers dumped on us.
Yep they are coming down!

Another Nati City Christmas Tradition

I have showed you many Christmas traditions in Nati City but I have never shown you the center of my city at Christmas.

Tyler Davidson Fountain ~The Genius of Water.
It sits right in the center of my city.
It is regarded as the city's symbol and one of the area's most visited attractions.  It was dedicated in 1871 and is the centerpiece of my city.
The 43 foot tall fountain is cast in bronze and sits on a green granite base.
The inscription "To the People of Cincinnati" appears on its base.
At Christmas the square holds a giant cedar tree like Rockefeller Center.  Nati City has a big lighting ceremony.
Hi, see me here?
Behind the cedar we have an ice rink set up where you can skate everyday and into the night with the gorgeous tree lights.
The building behind the tree is where my Lee worked for years on the 45th floor and in the lobby stands this tree.
The lighting is very funny because of a glass ceiling that goes up two stories till the upper floors in the building start.  This is where Santa comes.  He is suppose to be here at noon so I get my picture taken with Santa. I'm first in line can you tell.  Lee wanted to get here early for me.
Where Lee ate lunch today had these gorgeous window boxes and Lee sat at this window so I could see her and I got leftovers.  I always order leftovers which was salmon today.

Well I have more Christmas photos I will show you next week.

BOO!

Is it just me or is it getting dark?

BOO!

How would you like to have this ghoul and tarantula living in your neighborhood?
The ghoul had a leash on that tarantula till someone took it, now it can roam free.
Guess I will do my potty in the next yard.

Budweiser Clydesdales

I, Sweet William The Scot, went to see the Clydesdales and hear all about this hitch from Merrimack, New Hampshire.
This is the lightweight at 1800 pounds and last to be hitched.
A single Clydesdal hitch horse will consume as much as 20-25 quarts of feed, 40-50 pounds of hay and 30 gallons of water per day.
Merlin giving me the one eyed look.  Every time I got close to him he would hide his head.  Every time I started to walk away he would neigh.  Then finally he looked me in the eye.  He was comical.

Admiral the biggest horse on this hitch coming in at just over 2,000 pounds and muscles does he have muscles.
Look at those tails I would not want my tail tied up in a knot with a bow.
It takes just fifty minutes to get all the horses manes and tails tied pretty. Why it takes that long for Lee and me to get ready.
The harness for these magnificent animals are over 140 pounds.  Lee could not lift one.
It takes awhile for the whole team to get hitched together and Admiral the first one to get hitched has to stand there and wait and wait for the other seven.  He has patience he never moved.
I got parked in the shade where I could see everything and watch Lee.  Because of my liver issues I am not fully vaccinated this year as those vaccinations have to go through your liver.
I had my rabies and my titers were good for my other vaccines but I am not getting canine influenza vaccine this year so Lee is keeping me out of the spotlight as I am so social and everyone wants to pet me.

Guess Who I Met Today

Do you know who this is?
Her Mom was with her.
She cannot get up there yet!
She is looking to see what's in the back.  Bawhehehe
Maybe she wants a cold one!
Or maybe she is looking for a way down.
She has to be tied in because she does not have her manners yet!
She is Lily, the new Budweiser Clydesdale Dog out of Merrimack, New Hampshire.  She is a puppy and this is her first tour.

I, Wills, have been quite sick for along while ~ not in pain ~ but that dam surgery well the anesthesia that they gave me almost killed off my entire liver.  But finally my liver values are coming down.  I had to have a liver ultrasound and biopsy of five spots and blood drawn and tested every week then now I am every month.
Bad Vet should have never used that anesthesia on me.
Lee said goodbye to $3,000 to help me and she told me there would never be any money in my piggy again.
I am just starting to do things again.
I'll show you the Clydesdale horses next time.  One took a real liking to my Lee.

Happity Hippity Hoppity Easter

Our painted card 2019

I think the bunny brought the world a basket with all the wonderful flowers blooming.

Our Lilac bush is full of flowers and the butterflies are here.
We can smell the fragrance when we open the kitchen window.
Our Spirea flowering shrubs on the hill are in full bloom.
The delicate Blue Bells are just starting to open.
And the hundred tulip bulbs that we planted are flowering finally without hobbit stems.
We have every color of tulips.

Spring has been kind to us this year with no late frost to kill the flowers.
Wishing you the kind of Easter
That touches your heart like a prayer and blesses
your life with the gift of amazing grace.
Best wishes for a joyous Easter

Bad Bad Vet

I Sweet William The Scot am still not well.

See this is why I am not well!  One incision is full of  fluid.  And the other incision well we don't know what is going on.  It could still be part of the tumor or it could be a hernia or the bad vet could have sewed me up wrong.
It will need more surgery.

We found out this veterinary office turned into a VCA office.
THEY HAVE A LOT OF RIPP OFF REPORTS!
Here is one review
Veterinary Clinics Of America Aurora VCA They charged me $3000+ to Neglect and Kill my Dog... Inexperienced!! They lack basic medical knowledge!! Aurora Illinois

They buy up retiring vets offices and put in vets out of medical schools.
They don't say Veterinary Clinics of America the clinics keep their original name and no one knows.  Which was our case.
There are more and more of these clinics across Canada and the United States popping up.  Their home base is Los Angeles, California.

They say With VCA's hospitals 4700 compassionate veterinarians, more than 525+ board-certified specialists and 750+ animal hospitals located in 43 US states and 5 Canadian provinces, you are always in good hands.

There was no compassion to us especially leaving my dog bleeding part of the tumor in and saying don't come back we will not be taking the stitches out.
I have been to a new vet three times getting myself drained.  And I am taking three types of antibiotics.

I beg you ~ Lee begs you if your original vet has retired check and see who has the practice now.

Google all the complaints yourself look at Yelp or other review sites.
Lee says be your dogs advocate.

Lee's tongue-lash·ing

I, Sweet William The Scot, have had a tumor.  We have known about it for six months.  Lee finally decided we would do the surgery even with my liver numbers being high which Lee did not know about till the morning of surgery.
Surgery was Friday morning.

My old vet the one who has been our vet and her last Scots vet well he retired and sold the practice to three women vets.

I went in at 7 a.m. at 1:15 they called and said I was awake and I could be picked up at 4.  Well Lee arrives to get me.  I am a total mess not cleaned up at all and NO DRESSING on my incision which is still bleeding and still not awake enough to walk.  Lee is not feeling good about this!

We get home Lee carries me in puts me on her bed and is cleaning me up.  Apparently three legs had to be shaved because they could not piggyback my IVWhat the fu**!  Lee is dressing my incision so I don't bleed all over her bed when she feels a lump at the end of the incision.

First Lee thinks this could be fluid and should she stick a syringe and suck off the fluid.  But as she palpitated the area is soft but pliable not like fluid.

Lee got back on the phone and hit redial and said tell that vet not to leave we were coming back in within five minutes.

The vet had taken out only part of my tumor had stitched me up with the rest of the tumor left at the end of my stitches.  Anyone with half a brain could feel it see it.
The vet then tried to tell Lee it was a second tumor they could show her my tumor they had it seal in a bag.  Like my Lee would not want to see!  WRONG!  Lee has seen a hell of a lot of worse things than a tumor.

The vet said she could give me a local and take out the second tumor because I was still out of it enough so I got cut open again because she would not open the first incision and the rest of my tumor was taken out!  Lee wanted it also.  Lee told them to get a dressing on the incision also because I go potty outside and Lee did not want me getting infected.

In the office Lee lined the edges of my gooey tumor up!  Yep it was one tumor that had broken apart and the vet was so careless not giving sufficient attention or thought to avoiding harm or error.

Even if it had been a second tumor right at the end of the first tumor why would you stitch me back up and not take it out since I was under anesthesia.  Anesthesia is a risk in itself.

I was awake enough getting cut a second time with a local that when we left I could see my Lee was steaming mad and the vet knew to keep her dam mouth shut!

Today I would say don't travel down my road again
Till my Lee can see straight!
Lee is taking good care of me.

Veterans

I, Sweet William The Scot, on our genealogy trip came home a different way.  We came upon the Village of Owensville in  Stonelick Township, Clermont County.
The first man to be called "Surgeon General" of the United States, Dr. Richard Allison lived here on a Revolutionary War military land grant, which was originally 441 acres.

We had never seen anything like it, why Troop Banners adorn both sides of the street and go both ways at the cross roads and down side streets.
Why we saw WWII, Korean War, Vietnam War, Persian Gulf War.
These banners are over five feet tall.
You can go here and see each one who served from this small village.
https://villageofowensville.org/owensville-ohio-history/
They say Owensville is proud to honor our men and women who are or have served this country through our banner program.  There are over three hundred of these banners now.

Here is the video of the story that was on the news.
https://www.wlwt.com/article/every-day-is-veterans-day-in-this-ohio-town/24899541?fbclid=Iw
In the video you can truly see how many there are and how nice the little village looks.

Lee said look Wills how many from this rural midwest town put their lives on the line for our freedom.  It gave Lee the chills seeing the faces of so many brave souls.  We wondered how many came home to their families.
Our flag belonged to one who did not come home.

Seuss Day

Well it's time for the Dr. Suess Book Club and here we are, all
my non blogging friends, in the Dr. Suess Garden each with our favorite book or quote.

Now Nessa with the dirty nose who spends most of her days digging for gophers says her favorite book is Fox in Socks.
"New socks Two Socks Whose Socks"
because that is what her Mama says when she finds Nessa sleeping on her socks.  What dog does not enjoy a snooze on their peeps socks.

Now for my dear friend, Bentley the dapper wheaten Scot, why he says his favorite quote would be

"Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory."

How many of us wish we just had one moment to do over. So cherish those moments and make the most of everyone that you are given I, Sweet William The Scot, says.

Now for Winslow, Bentley's baby bro, well he thinks the bestest Dr. Seuss quote would be

"To the world you may be one person; but to one person you may be the world."

Yep our peep is our one person, our world, the one to whom we give our undeviating love.
Be kind to us for we love you so.
Are they not the cutest pair?

Now for my quote
I'm a Registered Reader Dog!
