Funky in My Town + My Zentangle

Something is FUNKY, ABERRANT, ABNORMAL, ANOMALOUS, BIZARRE, CAPRICIOUS ya think?
I am eight miles from home and whose steps am I sitting on??
I feel something staring at me! There are multiple eyes looking and to whom do they belong?

The Mushroom House, also known as the Tree House, is an ornately fanciful home built by architect Terry Brown in the Oakley/Hyde Park neighborhood of Cincinnati, Ohio.  It was built between 1992 and 2006 and served as the architect's secondary residence until his untimely death in 2008. Standing on the busy corner of Erie and Tarpis Ave, it is a prominent Cincinnati landmark..  The house remained in the family with his wife owning the property till now.  Rumor has it is up for sale for $349,000.  Five rooms, one bedroom, one bath, 1,260 square feet. Ya think you want to buy?
For inside pictures go here. It is something to see. REALLY YOU HAVE TO SEE THIS ONE REALLY!!!!!!

Using more than 35 former students from the University of Cincinnati College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning, where Mr. Brown was an adjunct assistant professor, they helped build circular steel steps, deck rails of wood shingles, stained glass windows, tiled ceilings. Using a variety of materials, wood, colored glass, shell, ceramics, and various metals.

I won this over at Reilly & Denny Cowspotdogblog.  Bree does the most wonderful work. Thank You Bree for my picture it is truly a work of art and love.

Thanks for being a friend

  26. What an amazing house. Oh it would be such fun to sniff around, But I don't think I'll be able to persuade Gail to buy it. She's looking at the photos and, can you believe it, muttering boringly practical things about preferring symmetrical rooms and places being difficult to clean....
    Toodle pip!

  28. Thanks, buddy, we are going to get bites in a little while, he was there for 2 whole days, we were all worried, hers the offical name of the problem;
    Hemorrhagic gastroenteritis (HGE),basically, upchucking , then heavy water drinking, the same routine over and over, then there is blood leakage into the bowel. Dogter ASAP is the treatment, because of the vomiting you need an IV because of server dehydration, them you get some antibiotics, and tons of hugging, petting and loving, to follow at home.

    My Bubby will be home in a couple oh hours
