Books Books and More Books

Books Books and more Books!  Lee and I read a lot.  We help people of all sizes learn to read.
Well I bet I have read every book in the library, oh no I just told a humongous fib. I am bad!  This is the fountain at the entrance to the Main Library. The Main Library serves as the hub of the entire Library system as well as the neighborhood library.  I am a lucky dog I have two branch libraries within three miles of my home. There are forty branches in Cincinnati.
Across from the main library downtown is the statue of President Garfield, 20th president of the United States (an Ohio man) and the oldest park in Cincinnati, Piatt Park.
Piatt Park was given to the city in 1817.  It was officially christened in 1868. We always stroll this way because we find street parking at the lower end.

Look what landed on President Garfields head while Lee was taking my picture.  That darn bird pooped on the statue and then tried to poop on me.  What is wrong with that crazy bird shooting his poop at me!  Missed me you dirty bird.

As for the bird. It must not be a fan of reading or reading dogs. Grrrrr.

  13. Hi William
We could tell you were a well read sort of a fellow! Gail and I are very impressed that Cincinnati is a city that values its libraries. Here in Aberdeen our stupid city authorities have recently closed several of our libraries. We think the people involved are stupid - probably they never read enough books...

  23. We're just so frustrated that mama's trouble typing is keeping us away from Blogville so much. But we love your posts and the way you find so many beautiful things about your city to share. We actually live across a [busy] street from our local library, but mama prefers to buy and own books. The house is stuffed with them. You wouldn't think she'd notice when we chew up a few, but boy, does she.
