What A Difference A Week Makes

Well since last Monday I, Sweet William The Scot, have had twelve hours of straight rain.
Then the snow came again with another eight inches and the rain had not melted all that we had before.
Then came the negative zero temperatures!
Then two days later we hit 40 degrees.
We're having a heat wave
A tropical heat wave
The temperature's rising
It isn't surprising.
Now you probably guessed what happened!
The Ohio Rived came out of its banks.
Road Closed!
High Water
 Road Closed!
High Water
  Road Closed!
High Water
Oh yep, you might recognize the school in the background I showed you in my post
Road Closed!
High Water
See me way off in the distance.
Pray Lee does not leave me here on a sit and stay.
Why I could get wash away with the Rising Waters.
Hope I can find a road home.
Oh that is Riverbend Music Center in the distance.
May 17 ~ Lady Antebellum with Hunter Hayes and Sam Hunt will perform.
It will be cleaned up by then.
In the foreground sits Coney Island Pool filled over with the Ohio River.
Lee has had tickets at Riverbend for shows that were cancelled due to flooding.
Oh well "This too shall pass".
That idiom dates back to the 11th century so it has stood the test of time.

Thanks for being a friend
Traveling down the road and back again
Your heart is true and your a friend of mine

  7. Sweet William we are having a heat wave also but with out the river flooding. Spring melt has come fast and hard in your area. Stay safe and dry. I remember the post about the school as I thought is was a bad idea to build so close to the river. Frankie and Ernie hava a good point about having your water wings handy.

  17. Hey Sweet William!
Wow, your river has swollen all over the place! Gosh, I hope it goes down soon. I've had crazy weather too, but way more ice/snow than there. Hopefully this will all bring lots of Spring flowers soon. :)

  18. Sweet William be careful out there so you don't get swept away. We have a lot of that starting to happen here too. Our sidewalks are all puddles when we go for walks.

  20. OMD!!!! SW you guys have so much waters!!!!! You can send all of it here!!!!! We needs it bad...even though we actually got normal rain, it's been our 4th year of drought, so we are still in troubles. I wish instead of an oil pipeline, they would build a water pipeline to transfer water to where it is needed!
Anyhu, off topic...sorry abouts that! I hopes it dries out soon and you gets to walk on nice green grass and smell the flowers bloom and hear all the spring burdies sing!!! it won't be long!
    Kisses,
    Ruby ♥
