Nudie Nudie Nudie and Update on my Wills

Update ~ My Wills is getting better and on Friday the vet will decide if he needs surgery to remove the gland that was badly hurt.  Wills is off of pain pills but still has antibiotics.  He has wagged his tail some.  He has been very receptive to my treating his wounds.

Now on with news from our Nati City.
This happened on April 12th ~ before I was hurt.

Nudie Nudie Nudie I, Sweet William The Scot, saw a Nudie!
I was screaming look Lee look.  Well Lee looked and the car stopped.
See we in Cincinnati were told on the news that Photographer, Harvey Drouillard, who has made his name taking pictures of nude models in front of well-known public landmarks across the country, had made Cincinnati his next stop.
Yep Great American Ball Park on Opening Day.
Here is a link to the funny cartoon that ran in our paper.
http://www.wcpo.com/news/opinion/harvey-drouillard-and-his-nude-models-are-about-to-become-part-of-our-opening-day-scene-so-relax

Look Out Boston you are next!
We saw the nudie in this very spot.

Drouillard said “Once I found out all the history -- like the Underground Railroad, as soon as you crossed the Ohio River you were free -- the whole city is about freedom and expression,” he said. “So I was like, ‘There’s no way I’m skipping Cincinnati."
Yep the nudie went up these steps.

Drouillard initially recruited volunteers via an ad on Craigslist.
He has also recruited a “getaway driver,” as well as people on the ground who have already taken photographs of the city for planning purposes.
For baring it all, volunteer models got an 8x10 photo, food and beverages courtesy of Goodfellas Pizzeria and “an adrenaline buzz they will never forget,”  Drouillard said.

Why do I have to put my bum where the nudie was?
I don't have my scarf on, OH NO I am a nudie!

He is coming back in July for a huge group shot right in the center of my city.
He didn’t know about the conservative nature of Cincinnati.
So much dark history, if you will, happened specifically in Cincinnati. A lot of the obscenity laws in the entire country are based on things that happened in Cincinnati.
Robert Mapplethorpe and Larry Flynt had contentious court battles here.

If you want to see the nudie we saw well the link above will show her half way down the page fourth row on the left.

She was at the Elsinore Arch (also known as Elsinore Tower) a registered historic structure in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Constructed in 1883 for the Cincinnati Water Works. It's said to be inspired by the Elsinore Castle (Kronborg) featured in Hamlet.

"He said the photos are not meant to be vulgar, it's not meant to be obscene or pornographic. It's really meant to be about the art. I hope people aren't shocked, you know. If you see us and you don't want to be in the shot, just go the other way."

Well I, Sweet William The Scot, went the other way with one eye open till they left.

Thanks for being a friend
Traveling down the road and back again
Your heart is true and your a friend of mine

That's interesting about the photography. We've seen it in several cities around the world. How exciting to be in your city. Love that castle...great place to explore...and obviously see some DIFFERENT sights.

  23. Oh noes, SWTS...we did not know you were under the weather. :-( My mom's computer died and she's been very lax on reading up on my friends. She and I hope you are doing much better now and it sounds like you've taken a turn for the better! As for the nudie stuff...we would much rather see a handsome scottie than a nudie in pictures of your city! By the LAX airport, there is a place that advertises "nude Nudes!". We laugh every time.

  25. First off, we are very pleased to hear that our buddy's tail is starting to wag again - we really have been very worried about you SW and we say a prayer for you each morning and each night.
Now about these naakid hoomans, mom says you'd have to pay her A LOT more than a pizza, a drink and an adrenaline rush to get naakid in a public place *BOL*
We're keeping our paws crossed for good news when you go to the dogter.

  31. Ringy-dingy-fruity-tooty....you, Sir William got to see a nudie! BOL It seems you may have been more "Sweet William on the Spot" than Sweet William the Scot, catching that nudie in the act. I think the next time that photographer comes to your Nati city he should take a nudie photo of you...sans scarf, bandana, etc. That will get people's attention, don't you think? They'll say "Hey, what you got on under that kilt?" and then realize, you don't have your kilt on! BOL
I am glad you are feeling better my friend. I sure hope you got our little package we sent you.
    Hugs,

    1. Thanks Bentley ~ I got the last appointment of the day. The vet said to schedule so there would be no one after me and she could take her time. The vet Lee has taken her other Scots to and me retired this year and two young women vets have taken over. Things change but Lee wishes the old vet was still here for this.SWTS
