I drove into my downtown Nati City to show you something special.
Parking is easy in my new Tub Car.
Martha, lived out her last days at the Cincinnati Zoo.

Martha, lived out her last days at the Cincinnati Zoo.
Extinct gone forever, what was once the most numerous bird species in America.
Martha died in 1914.
ArtWorks reproduced an original John A. Ruthven. A masterpiece.
It took 103 days to be completed. Look at the size of the passenger pigeon's wing compared to me in the center bottom of the picture.
The mural is dedicated to Martha and Passenger Pigeons.

How I, Sweet William The Scot, wish I could have seen Martha and her flocks fly.
Lets all work together to not let another species go extinct.

It is so sad about Martha and her fellow birds. Man is so very cruel to others. Love your Tub- mobile. You and Bella Rock the dance floor. Hope you are staying cool in this heat, but I must prefer the heat to the cold winter.
ReplyDeleteYour friend, Bentley
We have been doing some yard work and it is hot hot. Yesterday when we went into Nati to grab the pictures we went early while it was still nice with a breeze.

We love being up and at am before the rest of the world stirs and also before the heat and humidity gets to bad.

ReplyDeleteit is always so sad to loose an entire species - you just never know what we could of learned from them
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Sweet William for showing us that truly awesome mural. Gail has read about passenger pigeons and their sad fate at the hands of her species. We join you in hoping for no more pointless and destructive extinctions. (As scientists we do understand that 'natural' extinctions are part of evolution).
ReplyDeleteToodle pip!
