I Have A Winner

The winner of the last tote in the fish bowl draw is none other than Mitch and Molly.  Yep they played every game and had the correct song title three times, so they had three chances in the fish bowl.
Well the song was The Rose, sung by Bette Midler.
When the night has been too lonely
And the road has been too long
And you think that love is only
for the lucky and the strong
Just remember in the winter
Far beneath the bitter snow
Lies the seed
That with the sun's love, in the spring
Becomes the rose
"The Rose" is a pop song written by Amanda McBroom and made famous by Bette Midler, who performed it in the 1979 film The Rose.

Well Mitch and Molly you have won a rope pull toy and a rope ball plus a bag of treats.  Also you have in the tote the bird, the Ohio State bird cardinal windchimes which shines a light on the bird.  Gosh I even put a pack of batteries in the tote.  Also I put in some chocolate Godiva candy for your Mom.  Plus you get our own designer tote which Lee sews herself.  Thanks for playing.

Everybody who played thanks, we enjoyed seeing your answers.  Some answers made us laugh, but we considered every answer a good try.

Hall~o~ween

WOW Halloween is here!  My Posh Paws girlfriend Snazzi Jazzi is coming to my home for Halloween dinner.
Oh my Snazzi Jazzi has arrived so here is a picture of my greeting her with my Halloween decorations at my door.

I, Sweet William The Scot, want to really impress her with my Master Chef status, so I am fixing a gourmet dinner for two. Did you ask what I am serving, I thought so. Well for an appetizer I have carmel apples,  for our main course I have the Presidential Cookies, and dessert is candy corn. To drink I made hot apple cider.  Look at my table how I decorated for my gal.

We got to chow down now because I am taking her on the Jack-O-Lanter Walk at The Anderson  Center two miles from my home.  It will be so romantic.  They have like five hundred jack-o-lanterns around a small lake and Halloween lights and decorations.  The Center treated us to a giant cookie, pumpkin gelato, and mama's carmel corn.  Yum Yum.

Here are just four of the jack-o-lanterns that we liked.

They had things that scared Jazzi, she clung to my furs and pulled some out, geez.
We were welcomed by these ghost and told to go that way.
One BIG Glowing Gargoyle Bat.
It glowed and knock the bejeebers out of Jazzi!
Maybe the GIANT black cat will see that mouse.
Why is the center ghost angry?
We said goodbyes to the happy pumpkins and went on to our next adventure.

Then of all places Jazzi wanted to go to the cemetery to see if the ghost and goblins really do come out for Halloween.  I don't know if that is a good idea but I will take her because my girl wants to go.
This might be the door to the underworld!  No Jazzi I am not knocking.
Count Dracula's Home
Dracula you in there?  Come on open up, stop horsing around!
Trick or Treat give us something good to eat.
Oh no, gulp, this is not good they intend to put my remains here.  I made the spirits mad.
 The storme will arise,
And trouble the skies;
This night, and more for the wonder,
The ghost from the Tomb
Affrighted shall come,
Cal’d out by the clap of the Thunder

Cookies

In my city we have a bakery, Buskens Bakery, that bakes these cookies.  They are called government cookies.  People buy the cookies of the candidate they want to win.  Buskens has a record of being correct in telling who will win the election with these cookies.
The President Cookie Poll count can be found at Buskens
Which cookie should I eat?
These cookies are delicious.
Please remember to vote!
I voted early and I left no crumbs on my wiskers.

Halloween
OH NO! I told Lee I wanted to be a hero. Lee bought me a donkey costume. She bought me a Shrek Donkey Costume. Lee said Donkey was a hero helping Shrek. Who is she kidding. Lee is making a fool out of me. I am a Jack Ass. I am going to be laughed out of bloggville. Jazzi will laugh. What am I going to do? I am wearing a Jack Ass costume.
Pip sent me this Scottie Tin.  I have one which I keep my chalk in and this one I am going to put stickers in for the kids in my reading program.  They love me and they love all things Scottie.
Thank you Pip for thinking of me.

Look What I Bought

Well my girl  Snazzi Jazzi told me she liked to travel.  So,  I saved my money and I bought an old Airstream.  I have been working on it all summer.  Now I am ready to show my Posh Paws Jazzi what I have done!  What you think Jazzi?
I am ready to hit the open road.  I am hitching this old Airstream to my bike. I hear there is a great concert happening at Woodstock!
Why look I even put pictures of the President and First Lady in the back window.  And I put a picture of John Lennon, one of the Beatles, in the side window.  I made it real homey.
I just need a few more supplies.

I think I will stop by Bites and Susie's place to see if they want to go.  Then I will swing by Kyla's to see if she wants to go.

Oh dogs I am all about Peace and Love and chomping on some good grass!

I have plenty of room,  just let me know if you want me to swing by to pick you up.  Woodstock  or Bust!
Peace !

Books Books and More Books

Books Books and more Books!  Lee and I read a lot.  We help people of all sizes learn to read.
Well I bet I have read every book in the library, oh no I just told a humongous fib. I am bad!  This is the fountain at the entrance to the Main Library. The Main Library serves as the hub of the entire Library system as well as the neighborhood library.  I am a lucky dog I have two branch libraries within three miles of my home. There are forty branches in Cincinnati.
Across from the main library downtown is the statue of President Garfield, 20th president of the United States (an Ohio man) and the oldest park in Cincinnati, Piatt Park.
Piatt Park was given to the city in 1817.  It was officially christened in 1868. We always stroll this way because we find street parking at the lower end.

Look what landed on President Garfields head while Lee was taking my picture.  That darn bird pooped on the statue and then tried to poop on me.  What is wrong with that crazy bird shooting his poop at me!  Missed me you dirty bird.

WINNER TO NAME THAT SONG ROUND THREE

Our winner is Silly Sasha she knew when to play her cards!

The song was The Gambler by Kenny Rogers

On a warm summer's evenin' on a train bound for nowhere,
I met up with the gambler; we were both too tired to sleep.
So we took turns a starin' out the window at the darkness
'Til boredom overtook us, and he began to speak.

You got to know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em,
Know when to walk away and know when to run.
You never count your money when you're sittin' at the table.
There'll be time enough for countin' when the dealin's done

The gambler then mentions that the "secret to survivin' is knowing what to throw away, and knowing what to keep" and that "the best you can hope for is to die in your sleep". At this point, the gambler puts out the cigarette and goes to sleep.
At the end of the song we are told that "somewhere in the darkness, the gambler, he broke even", and that the narrator finds "an ace that I could keep", in his final words.

I, Sweet William, hope you find that ACE!

Sasha chose our purple corsage lady tote.
What did Sasha win for herself and her Mom you ask?  Well Sasha you won a Martha Stewart rope bone.  You won our dragon fly windchimes.  And for your Mommy you snagged her a $20 Kroger gift card.  Total prizes $32 plus you chose our purple corsage lady heavy organic cotton tote.

Everybody who gave me the correct answer gets their name in the fish bowl draw for the last tote.  If you have answered correctly last time, you will get two chances in the draw.  Those who answered correctly are ~
Teska Tribe
